Hi, I’m Skyler—a photographer driven by a lifelong passion for capturing the beauty of the world around us.

My connection to visual storytelling goes back as far as I can remember. When I was seven or eight, my maternal grandmother bought me my very first camcorder at a garage sale, and my paternal grandmother’s sister gave my sister and me our first camera. That early spark grew into a deep love for creative media, fueled in high school by two incredible graphic design teachers, Mrs. Alisa Oswald and Mrs. Valerie Martin, whose guidance I cherish to this day.

My official journey as a photographer took off in November 2015, when my paternal grandmother gifted me my first DSLR camera early for Christmas. I used that camera every single day until I earned enough to upgrade in 2020, and again in 2025. Photography isn’t just a hobby or a job for me—it has truly shaped who I am and continues to carry me through life.

When I’m out with my camera, I’m drawn to expansive landscapes, intricate macro details, and whatever happens to catch my eye in the moment. For me, photography is an instinctive feeling—a sudden pull that tells me this moment deserves to be frozen in time. Being creative isn't always easy, and like most artists, I can be my own worst critic. But every image represents a piece of my journey and a moment of genuine connection.

Behind the scenes, I’m a perfectionist at core, always obsessing over the details to make sure a shot feels just right. When I’m not behind the lens or editing, you’ll find me relaxing at home with my two cats. Felines have been a joy in my life since childhood, and I firmly believe our four-legged friends deserve all the love and affection we can give them.

Whether you're exploring my portfolio or looking to bring one of my prints into your home, thank you for being a part of my story.

Keep chasing the things that make you pause and look closer. You can do great things!
